Closed (sort of)

TEOM as you know it has been closed. I will keep it up for reference but it no longer will receive tutorial updates.

There are plans for a completely new site. If you'd like to be notified once the other site is up, simply subscribe to my mailing list.

Thanks for the support throughout all these years :)

News

Chaos, annoyance, bad news - you name it!

So, funny story: Textpattern won’t work with the new PHP version, going back to the old version gives errors and basically I cannot add any new stuff besides articles – which I have to enter manually because automatic url creation is not working either. I can edit previous articles, which is fortunate for the almost-completed tut-on-demand, but that’s about it, that’s the last tutorial using this system.

What am I supposed to do now?

Wordpress seems to be a more powerful system BUT I’m not familiar with it yet, not to mention that previous attempts to importing data from Textpattern to it (which is supposed to be supported) failed. Not to mention, again, that if I were to do this here all links (except for the front page) would be changed.

So I’m carefully thinking about my options here and possible $ involved for changes that might be made. I don’t want to make a mess with all the links that I have already, but there’s a lot that needs to be considered now.

TEOM has hundreds of pages and to recreate them all over again is a task that I’m wondering if I’ll be willing to take and, if I do, how long it will take me to complete it.

And that’s about all I have to say right now. I’m annoyed. My day started out so great, several problems were solved, but as the sun went down so did TEOM.
