TEOM as you know it has been closed. I will keep it up for reference but it no longer will receive tutorial updates.
There are plans for a completely new site. If you'd like to be notified once the other site is up, simply subscribe to my mailing list.

Changing Eye Colors

Open your image, press Shift + D to duplicate it and close the original.
Original image.

Go to View » Zoom In By 5.
With the Arrow tool move your image until you can see at least one of the eyes.
With the Freehand (Lasso) tool, create a selection around the iris.
» Settings: selection type = point to point, feather = 0, antialias = checked.

Go to Selections » Modify » Contract by 1.
Keep selected.
With the Magic Wand tool, press Ctrl and click on the black area (the pupil) of the eye.
» Settings: match mode = rgb value, tolerance = 15, feather = 0.
Pressing Ctrl will remove this new selected area from the previous selection.

Go to Selections » Modify » Feather = 2 pixels.
Save this selection to the Alpha Channel and deselect.
Follow the same process for the other eye.
Add a new raster layer.
Load the first selection from the Alpha Channel and Flood Fill it with white.
Do the same thing with the second selection.
Deselect.
Go to Selections » All » Float / Defloat (this will select both white areas).
Delete the current layer and save this selection to the Alpha Channel if you wish.
Go to Layers » New Adjustment Layer » Hue/Saturation/Lightness.
Change the settings as you wish to modify the colors.
