TEOM as you know it has been closed. I will keep it up for reference but it no longer will receive tutorial updates.
There are plans for a completely new site. If you'd like to be notified once the other site is up, simply subscribe to my mailing list.
Thanks for the support throughout all these years :)

Create a new image.
» Settings: 400×400 pixels, 72 dpi, background color = transparent, image type = 16.7 million colors.
With the Preset Shapes tool, create a circle.
» Settings: ellipse, retain style = unchecked, antialias + create as vector = checked, line width = 50, line style = #1 solid, foreground/stroke color = any color, background/fill color = null.
Make the circle about the size you want your wreath to be.
Note: To make a circle using the Preset Shapes tool simply hold down the Shift key when using the Ellipse shape.
When finished, go to Selections – From Vector Object.
Then go to Selections – Modify – Feather: 15 pixels.
Add a new raster layer.
With the Picture Tube tool paint the selection with the tubes you’ve just created.
When you finish, deselect and delete the vector layer and Layer1.

Now all you have to do is decorate your wreath.
This is where your creative Christmas part will enter :)
Since I’m not that good at Christmas decoration I kept my wreath very simple.
The ribbons were made using the Draw tool: first I made 5 pieces (on a new layer), added some shine to them using the Retouch tool (Lighten RGB and Dodge), then I duplicated the layer, rotated a bit and gave the rainbow look using the Retouch tool once more (Hue Up).
Since I was already using the Retouch tool on the ribbons I also used it a little bit on the green part of the wreath to give more contrast.
