Closed (sort of)

TEOM as you know it has been closed. I will keep it up for reference but it no longer will receive tutorial updates.

Diagonal Lines

Create a new image.
» Settings: 5×5 pixels, 72 dpi, background color = transparent, image type = 16.7 million colors.

Set the foreground color to any color you wish.

With the Paint Brush tool, create a line as shown below.
» Settings: size = 1, opacity = 100, density = 100.

The background is practically ready. Now all you have to do is either fill the transparent areas with another color or export it as a transparent .gif or .png to use on your websites.
