TEOM as you know it has been closed. I will keep it up for reference but it no longer will receive tutorial updates.

Paint Shop Pro 7
Easy Mushroom

Create a new image.
» Settings: 50×50 pixels, 72 dpi, background color = transparent, image type = 16.7 million colors.
With the Paint Brush tool, make several white dots.
» Settings: shape = round, use 3 different sizes: 6 / 8 / 10, hardness = 50, opacity = 100, step = 25, density = 100.
Put this image aside.
Create a new image.
» Settings: 400×400 pixels, 72 dpi, background color = transparent, image type = 16.7 million colors.
Set the foreground to null and background color to beige.
» My color: #E6DBD0.
Add a new vector layer. Name it Triangle.
With the Preset Shapes tool, make a triangle starting at 150,100 and ending at 250,350.
» Settings: triangle, retain style = unchecked, antialias + create as vector = checked.
Note: the coordinates are located at the bottom left corner of your workspace.
Add a new vector layer. Name it Ellipse.
Set the foreground color to white and the background color to red.
» My color: #F12121.
Change the background style to Gradient.
» Settings: #1 Foreground-Background, style = sunburst, horizontal = 50, vertical = 8, repeats = 0.
Change the foreground color to null.
Change the Preset Shapes to ellipse and create one starting at 50,50 and ending at 350,180.
With the Object Selector tool, right-click on the ellipse and choose Create Raster Selection from the pop-up menu.
Add a new raster layer. Name it Shadow.
Place it under the Ellipse layer.
Apply a Drop Shadow effect.
» Settings: vertical + horizontal = 0, opacity + blur = 50, color = black.
Deselect.
Make the Triangle layer active and create a raster selection for it.
Invert the selection and make the Shadow layer active.
Hit delete and deselect.
Make the Triangle layer active and convert it to raster.
Apply the Blinds effect.
» Settings: width = 4, opacity = 40, color = dark beige, both boxes unchecked.
» My color: #CDC189.
Make the Ellipse layer active and create a raster selection again.
Add a new raster layer. Name it Dots.
Set the foreground to pattern and use the dots image created at the beginning of the tut.
» Settings: scale = 100%, angle = 0.
Flood Fill the selection with it.
Deselect.
On the Layer Palette, change this layer’s blend mode to Soft Light.
Layers – Merge Visible.
Apply the geometric effect Circle.
To remove the jagged edges, go to Select All – Float – Modify: Feather by 1 – Invert the selection and hit delete twice.
