Closed (sort of)
TEOM as you know it has been closed. I will keep it up for reference but it no longer will receive tutorial updates.
There are plans for a completely new site. If you'd like to be notified once the other site is up, simply subscribe to my mailing list.
Thanks for the support throughout all these years :)

Lock Style
The Lock Style checkbox, located under the Styles boxes, will keep the same styles settings for all tools when checked or will load the last used settings for each tool when unchecked (which can be quite annoying depending on your project).
When you first install PSP, the default setting for the Lock Style is unchecked, which sets all tools to the default colors red and yellow.
I don’t know how most of you ended up checking that box, but after a long time without paying attention to it it is quite common that when it gets somehow unchecked the person doesn’t know how to make the styles remain the same again – and it doesn’t matter if the Lock Style checkbox is still in the same place, one simply doesn’t look at it anymore. An odd little feature that Jasc added huh ;)
