TEOM as you know it has been closed. I will keep it up for reference but it no longer will receive tutorial updates.

There are plans for a completely new site. If you'd like to be notified once the other site is up, simply subscribe to my mailing list.

Thanks for the support throughout all these years :)

Moving Selections

Have you ever tried to move a selection and got the following error?

This operation could not be completed because the current layer does not contain any active data within the current selection area.

This means, basically, that there’s no fill in the selection.

But that message only appears when you are trying to move the selection with one of the Selection tools.

In order to move just the selection (with or without active data), use the Mover tool with your mouse’s right button on or inside the selection marquee.
This method only moves the selection, without interfering with any active data that may be inside it.
