TEOM as you know it has been closed. I will keep it up for reference but it no longer will receive tutorial updates.
There are plans for a completely new site. If you'd like to be notified once the other site is up, simply subscribe to my mailing list.
Thanks for the support throughout all these years :)
Paint Shop Pro 7
Paint Shop Pro Reset
Sometimes Paint Shop Pro starts acting weird and it doesn’t matter how much one tries it simply won’t go back to normal. In many cases, what happens is that the registry file got corrupted either by another program or by some mysterious forces that surround Windows.
What one can do when this happens is to simply create a brand new registry file by resetting the existing one. The method for doing so in Paint Shop Pro 7 is shown below.
CAUTION: by resetting the registry you will loose all preferences as well as your workspace layout. In order to at least save your workspace, go to File – Workspace – Save. After resetting Paint Shop Pro go to File – Workspace – Load and select the previously saved file.
» If you are running Paint Shop Pro, close it.
» Start the program and immediately press and hold the CTRL + ALT keys.
» If successful, Paint Shop Pro will ask you if you’d like to delete registry settings. The answer is obvious ;)
Don’t worry if you don’t get it right during the first tries, the timing is quite difficult to get.
After resetting the registry the program should go back to normal (almost like a fresh install) and then all you have to do is set your preferences again.
